workac

Produced over three days, this piece was crafted to share the unique story of a group of architects.

The video weaves together the architects' philosophy that architecture cannot be divorced from its context — a belief that every design is a confluence of the environment, culture, and the messiness of life itself. Through intimate interviews and dynamic visuals, the film explores their conviction that living well is inherently tied to sustainable and communal living, akin to the work of science fiction writers who envision worlds yet to come.

Design, as depicted in this narrative, is a vibrant conversation, a tug of war of ideas where every sketch and model brings them closer to solutions that resonate with the times and places they are meant to serve. The architects' projects in South America and Lebanon are highlighted as examples of their commitment to creating spaces that meld the environmental, social, and aesthetic into a cohesive whole, delivering joy and functionality in equal measure.

Celebrating 20 years of transformative work, the documentary showcases their journey towards building the kinds of projects they've always dreamed of — ones that challenge viewers to see the world differently, imagine new ways of living, and recognize architecture's power to facilitate change. Our goal was to highlight the architects' innovative approach to design that seeks to redefine the future of architecture and its impact on the world. This piece will also be submitted for EMMY consideration in the environmental and sustainability category.
